Troubleshooting

Each entry is symptom → cause → fix, with the commands to confirm the cause. Run server commands from the stack directory, as root:

cd /opt/theseus

First three commands

sudo ./theseus status                    # containers, health, probes
sudo systemctl status theseus-node       # the node (servers installed with an install command)
sudo journalctl -u theseus-node -n 100   # what the node did last

Then the log of whichever service the probes show DOWN: sudo ./theseus logs <service> (service names).

Area	Typical symptoms
Installation	Install command fails, host checks fail, token refused, install stuck or failed
Stack and services	Probes DOWN, indexer restarting, disk full, slow start, two-server connectivity
Sign-in and certificates	Browser warnings, Let's Encrypt, login loops, password rules
Agents and enrolment	Agents not connecting, enrolment refused, disabled or held agents, licence banner
Patching and Pallas	Patch jobs stuck or not verified, patching agent offline, LLM unreachable
